"Doors Open Gettysburg" - sponsored by the Friends of the National Parks at Gettysburg, permits interior access to several historic buildings for one day each year.  Most visitors to the Gettysburg National Park only get to view the Trostle Barn from the outside.  I was able to get inside and photograph the interior of the barn. 

The significance of the Trostle Farm: Major General Daniel Sickles used the farm as his headquarters during the Battle of Gettysburg.  The General was wounded to the west of the barn.  A monument marks the location where the General was wounded.
